Headteacher's Welcome
A very warm welcome to St John's.
Our vision is life in all its fullness; for all our children, their families and the whole staff team. This Christian vision is at the heart of everything we do and it inspires us to focus on what is most important – preparing all children to flourish both now and later in life.
Our children join us as infants – predominantly from our linked school Hampton Wick Infant and Nursery School – and leave us as seniors. Along the way, they are given every opportunity to explore who they are; their passions, interests and aspirations. We have high expectations of all our children and are continually striving to be the best we can be, never sitting still but constantly reflecting on how we can better see our vision realised in our school community.
We value our school’s long history, part of which is celebrated in memory of former pupil, Malcolm Lugard Craigie, and his ‘honourable and unselfish conduct’ toward others – something we all aim for at St. John’s. We believe we provide our children with an excellent start to life; giving them the skills and confidence to flourish both now and in the future.
St John’s is a two-form entry junior school within the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS) group of schools. Visitors often comment on the welcoming family feel of St. John’s and the excellent attitude, knowledge and pride the children have in their school. If you would like to find out more about our school, please read through our website, give us a call, or better still, come and visit us and see it for yourself. You are guaranteed a warm welcome!
